May 5, 2026

The Fair Grove Chamber of Commerce meeting was called to order at 12:05 p.m. Members gathered for lunch, sponsored by O’Bannon Bank, and the Chamber expressed appreciation for their continued support of the organization and community events.

The minutes from the previous meeting were presented for approval. A motion was made to approve the minutes, and the motion carried.

The featured speaker for the meeting was Jamie Glenn of Sacred Ground Coaching. Jamie spoke about the connection between thoughts, feelings, and actions, and how changing that cycle can positively impact both personal growth and business success.

During the Park Board update, Brittany Counterman shared that there are currently openings available for anyone interested in joining the Park Board. She reported a 220% increase in baseball participation and an overall 40% growth in sports participation throughout the community. Park improvement projects are currently underway, and the board’s account balance has grown to $346,000, thanks in part to the increase in sports participation and community involvement.

In the President’s Report, members were informed that the bylaws committee is currently seeking three volunteers. The Chamber scholarship presentation is scheduled for the following day, and appreciation was extended to the school for helping stuff eggs for the community Easter egg hunt. The Chamber also thanked the scholarship committee members for their work selecting this year’s scholarship recipients, Leila Huff and Shayla Haddock.

The Vice President’s Report included discussion regarding the July meeting and ideas for welcome goodie bags for new residents of Fair Grove.
