Fair Grove Meeting Minutes
April 7, 2026
The meeting was called to order at 12:01 PM. A thank you was extended to the American Legion for providing lunch.
A motion was made to approve the March meeting minutes, and the motion passed.
Kelly Petty with the City of Fair Grove was the featured speaker and shared an update on the city’s sidewalk project. Phase two is currently underway as part of a three-phase plan, with MoDOT partnering with the city to help fund these improvements.
The Chief of Police reported that new officers have recently joined the department, with additional officers expected in the near future.
Les Mallard of Les Mallard Insurance spoke about his agency, which has been serving the Fair Grove community for 29 years. The agency has four licensed agents and operates as an independent agency. He encouraged everyone to review their insurance policies at least once a year.
In the President’s report, it was shared that the Easter Egg Hunt was a success, with volunteers from First Baptist Church assisting with the event. The scholarship committee will be meeting soon to select two recipients for the annual scholarship.
The Vice President reported that memberships continue to come in and encouraged members to invite others to join.
The Treasurer reported a current balance of $22,824.31.
During member announcements, attendees were asked to keep Lisa Bernet’s family in their prayers. The American Legion shared information about their upcoming ice cream social and noted they will be serving biscuits and gravy on the second Saturday of each month. First Baptist Church announced a block party scheduled for May 2 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. The Historical Society is finalizing plans for the ice cream social and is currently seeking new members. The school will be hosting a blood drive on the 22nd, and community members are encouraged to donate if able. The Senior Center reported a successful cinnamon roll fundraiser.
